Employment

How do I apply for a job with CISC?

CISC is staffed from current employees of the RCMP or from employees of CISC member agencies through the CISC Secondment Program (see below).

Does CISC hire people from outside the law enforcement community?

No. However, from time to time CISC staffs civilian positions through the RCMP or through the Public Service staffing process. Please visit either www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca or www.jobs.gc.ca for positions that may be available.

How do I apply for a job with the RCMP or a CISC member agency?

If you are interested in a career with the RCMP, please consult the Careers/Recruiting section of the RCMP website at www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca. If you are interested in a law enforcement career with a CISC member agency, contact your local police recruiting office. Most law enforcement agencies in Canada are CISC member agencies.

What is the CISC Secondment Program?

The CISC Secondment Program offers the opportunity for personnel from law enforcement agencies that are members of CISC to work in CISC Central Bureau for a two to five year period. Seconded personnel typically work as intelligence officers or intelligence analysts.

If you are an employee of a CISC member agency and would like more information on the CISC Secondment Program, please contact Central Bureau at (613) 843-4749.
