Aims and Objectives of the Strategic Plan

Strategic Planning heralds a paradigm shift for CISC. It aims at moving our organization to a flexible, process-oriented team with decentralized decision making and success measured in terms of outcomes and results.

Key objectives include:

To become a national centre of excellence in the provision of client-based, strategically-focused, value-added criminal intelligence services and products;

To create an aligned and integrated organization in which every member has a clear understanding of the overall strategy and objectives of the organization and how their individual contribution supports it;

To ensure continued and expanded funding for CISC programs and initiatives;

To focus our resources on strategic objectives that are a priority and make decisions to discontinue certain activities if they do not support our strategic objectives;

To enlist all CISC staff in supporting the strategy; and

To create opportunities for small, ongoing successes, instead of aiming for one huge change overnight.
